Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education
Roseanne Berger, MD, is senior associate dean for graduate medical education and associate professor of family medicine. She oversees residency training in 63 programs sponsored by the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in affiliated hospitals throughout Western New York.
Berger received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She trained in family medicine in Buffalo at the former Deaconess Hospital and in San Diego at University Hospital, returning to Buffalo to serve a fellowship in geriatric medicine.
Berger serves on New York State’s Council on Graduate
Medical Education, an organization dedicated to maintaining high
standards for residency training. She also coordinates the
Mini-Medical School at UB, a series of lectures and programs on
issues of health care and medical research. Her ultimate goal with
the series is to inspire attendees to pursue careers in health
