We use practice-based research networks, community collaboratives and national research collaboratives to translate findings into practice, locally and around the country.
Our department’s Upstate New York Practice Based Research Network has been translating evidence into practice for more than two decades.
To achieve these ends, we leverage practice facilitation, collaborative learning groups and academic detailing — service-oriented outreach education for health care professionals.
We have received numerous grants for our work in this area and have conducted preventive screenings on hundreds of vulnerable and disadvantaged patients as a result.
