Accepted Students

We'll help you succeed: you'll gain valuable research experience, have a strong support network and gain valuable knowledge and skills that will put you on track to enter our medical school after you graduate.

As an accepted student, you'll participate in clinical and/or basic research, educational and professional development activities at the Jacobs School during the summer session, most likely between your junior and senior years.

Research Experience

Elizabeth Quaye, presenting her research poster at the CLIMB UP Summer research symposium in 2018.

You'll participate in a summer research experience in UB's CLIMB PRO program.

In your CLIMB PRO experience, you'll conduct clinical or biomedical research in laboratories with our physician scientists and research faculty.

Peer Mentoring

Undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds can experience medical school firsthand at “Shadow a Med Student Day,” hosted by our chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).

We'll connect you with a current medical student, who can advise you on the medical school application process, taking the MCAT, life as a medical student and life in Buffalo.

You'll also be able to interact with fellow EOPIM applicants and current medical students in our Facebook group.

Fellowship and Scholarship Opportunities

We will make sure you know about any scholarship or fellowship opportunities available to you.
