Professional Summary:

My clinical expertise focuses on the evaluation and treatment of individuals with neuropsychiatric illnesses, for which I am subspecialty certified by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. My clinical interests include the neuropsychiatric manifestations of epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and dementias.
As chief of the inpatient psychiatry service at VA Western New York, I contribute to administrative oversight as well as provide direct patient care to individuals with acute mental health symptoms. Additionally, I am one of three psychiatrists within the VA VISN 2 who provides electroconvulsive therapy.

In my role as a University faculty member, I provide extensive clinical and psychotherapy supervision to residents and students, and deliver and coordinate the advanced neurosciences curriculum for psychiatry residents as well as the neuropsychiatric case conference series for student clerks on psychiatry services. Locally, I serve on the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and nationally, I am an examination writer for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
