Aerobic Workout, COVID-19 Risk: Russo Gives Insight

Thomas A. Russo, MD, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, comments in an article about portable exercise equipment. Even as hotels slowly reopen with new cleaning procedures in place, that does not necessarily mean it is safe to use the equipment at the gym. Russo points out that “when you have that aerobic workout, you breathe harder and you have more respiratory transmission,” which is especially problematic in a hotel where you don’t know what parts of the country, or the world, everyone is coming from.”
