Medicine’s Research Day Showcases 69 Projects, 20 Awards

During the Department of Medicine’s third annual Research Day, residents and fellows presented the results of their research projects in areas including bronchoscopic lung volume reduction, improvement in hyperlipidemia management and exosomes in stem cell mediated cardiac repair.

The Research Day — held at the UB Clinical and Translational Research Center — featured oral presentations, posters and case reports on basic and clinical research. Additionally, five faculty members received recognition awards at the June event.
