Attendees will gain an understanding of SUD in pregnant women, learn about the concept of trauma-informed care, take away screening tools, and role-play more effective language to use with the patients through motivational interviewing as well as learn of the referral sources for care and treatment in WNY and to understand the birthing hospitals’ own philosophy and care of SUD pregnant patients.
