This conference room is a gift from Arlyne and Harold J. Levy, MD ’46, in memory of Harold’s parents, Evelyn Sperling and Sidney H. Levy, MD ’15, a pioneering radiologist; and in honor of their son, Sanford H. Levy, MD ’86, board-certified in internal medicine and holistic medicine. Harold, board certified in psychiatry, is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He graduated in the centennial class of 1946 at age 21, the school’s youngest graduate and youngest inductee to the local chapter of the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society. After serving in the Army as Chief of Psychiatry in Korea (1948-1949), he taught at UB for over 50 years, retiring as Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry. Harold, the recipient of numerous honors, prizes most highly his Lifetime Achievement Award from the UB Medical Alumni Association. He retired from active practice in 2017, at age 92.
