Traveling? Take eduroam Wi-Fi with you

Maybe you've seen eduroam on the list of available Wi-Fi networks on campus. eduroam is official UB Wi-Fi, and connects to the exact same network as UB Secure. But unlike UB Secure, eduroam is also available at other locations when you travel.

eduroam: Wi-Fi with benefits

eduroam is just a different name for the same network you connect to when you use UB Secure. Both are the official UB network, and both have equal coverage and security.

But eduroam has one big perk that UB Secure doesn't: it's available at hundreds of other institutions like UB all over the country, and the world.

If you find yourself in another city, check the map on the eduroam website for where to get access to free, secure Wi-Fi. It’s in most major U.S. cities.

And if you’re traveling internationally, you can see which other countries have eduroam, and where to find it on the eduroam website.

As if free, secure Wi-Fi while you’re traveling isn’t convenient enough, you won’t even need to log on! If you connect once to eduroam at UB, you’ll automatically connect whenever you’re in range somewhere else, no matter where you are in the country or the world.

How do I connect?

Log into eduroam with your UBmail address, not your UBITName—it’s a common mistake! Don’t forget the @buffalo.edu. Use the same password you use for other official UB services.

I need help!
