About Insights

Insights, the medical school’s newsletter, connects our school’s diverse and geographically-dispersed internal audience to the stories, activities and resources published on our website.

The Office of Communications selects news articles, upcoming events, and other items from the array of material available on the medical school website, and compiles them into a newsletter. Students and faculty, residents and post-doctorial fellows, our academic leadership and staff, all receive Insights. In addition, the newsletter is shared with UB’s leadership and the leadership and communication contacts at our affiliated hospitals.

Newsletter Goals

  • Strengthen connections among people in our internal community
  • Enhance awareness of our strengths and reinforce pride in our work
  • Highlight key events
  • Gather our school’s voices and activity together in one location — for example, reporting on student group events alongside faculty and resident accomplishments
  • Inform everyone of developments in the school’s web presence, such as launching a new site or making new resources available online

Send Us Your News and Events

Articles for Insights are selected from the full range of our school’s news and events. Use the calendar system to publicize events put on by your department or program, and send your news to the Office of Communications.
