Medical Education

The Division of Medical Education is home to the Pediatric Residency Program.

The division is also responsible for resident credentialing, lecture content and evaluation, and serves as the center for most postgraduate continuing medical education activity.

Our program focuses on evidence-based medicine and critical thinking. This is demonstrated during journal club and resident research projects, throughout our faculty-led lecture series and in our evidence-based medicine workshop. The goal is to train excellent pediatricians who are able to apply the fundamentals of evidence-based medicine to guide their clinical decision-making.

Continuity Clinic Program

Our Continuity Clinic Program includes experiences in one of seven locations. The main continuity care clinic is located on the hospital campus, and is run by the Division of General Pediatrics. There are also four private pediatric practices and community hospital practice that embrace pediatric residents as an integral part of their staff. Residents attend these sessions regularly one half-day per week and during a four-week Continuity Clinic rotation each year.
