Applicants for the PhD in all disciplines included in the PPBS should apply through UB’s online application.
Your application must be completed and supporting documentation must be received by Jan. 10.
A bachelor’s degree is required to enter the program.

Effective with the Fall 2019 admission cycle, we no longer require GRE scores of PPBS applicants.
Strong consideration is given to students who majored in chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or psychology. Recommended undergraduate courses include general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, physiology, physics and mathematics, including calculus and statistics.
International applicants must also present a valid TOEFL or IELTS score. It is university policy that test dates be no older than two years when students enter a program.
The minimum score that we accept is:

You do not need to fill out the financial section of the online application. All accepted students receive a full-tuition scholarship and stipend.
