Dear Jacob School community,
As the founding academic program of our institution, the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has always been central to the overall success of the University at Buffalo.
Our legacy is enriched by the generous support received from prestigious grant funding agencies (National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, etc.), which has enabled the school to maintain its leadership role in advancing innovative research, bettering the health care of communities, and training the next generation of physicians. Yet philanthropy has and will always play a vital role in sustaining our mission.
As we close out this fiscal year and the historic Boldly Buffalo campaign ends June 30, I ask that you consider making a campaign gift to help the school reach its fundraising goals. Achieving these goals will propel us toward our vision of becoming a top 25 public research university.
While the Jacobs School has raised the largest amount of any academic unit on campus, it is also the only one that has not yet achieved its campaign goal. Your support over the next two weeks can be the driving force behind yet another success story for our school.
We've built tremendous momentum, not only during my tenure as dean but also over the past decade or more. From the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility to solidifying our community and hospital partnerships, to enhancing our medical curriculum and developing innovative ways to educate future physicians, scientists and health care leaders, we have accomplished so much.
However, our work is far from finished. Together, we can help close the campaign gap.
Here are some ways you can contribute:
Every commitment received before June 30 will make a significant difference.
Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Allison Brashear, MD, MBA
Dean, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
