* Students are required to take four semesters total of advanced topics courses.
Prerequisites are the relevant 500-level core course and permission of the instructor.
Students may register for the same microbiology advanced topic course twice, but are encouraged to take advanced topic courses outside their area of interest and from other departments. Not all advanced topic courses are offered every year.
MD-PhD students are required to take two semesters of advanced topics courses.
