Call for Proposals

Medical Education and Educational Research Institute 2020 Conference Workshop Submission

The Medical Education and Educational Research Institute is seeking proposals for workshops for its inaugural celebration of teaching and learning at the Jacobs School.

Concurrent workshops will be 60 minutes in length and held between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2020. These workshops will precede the keynote speaker at noon.

Proposal submissions are due by February 4th by 11:59 PM and will be peer-reviewed by the MEERI’s Conference Planning Committee. Those submitting proposals will be notified of the committee’s decision by email no later than February 18, 2020. By submitting a proposal, the submitter and any co-presenters agree to be available to present on March 6, 2020.

Preference will be given to proposals that:

  • Highlight the scholarship of teaching and learning through reflective practices
  • Showcase innovative teaching and assessment techniques
  • Facilitate discussion on instructional excellence
  • Promote active learning
  • Demonstrate effective uses of technology in teaching and learning
