University at Buffalo (UB)
Faculty, staff, fellows and students are invited to hear a talk presented by Dr. Andras Fiser. Dr. Fiser is a professor in the Departments of Systems and
Computational Biology and Biochemistry and a faculty member of the Cancer
Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, USA. He will describe a conceptually novel method, Protein Ligand Interface Design (ProtLID), for the problem of identifying cognate ligands from a sub-proteome for a given target receptor protein. ProtLID designs an optimal protein interface for a given receptor by running extensive molecular dynamics simulations of single residue probes.
