We are proud to announce that the Jacobs School will host the annual Vasculata conference from July 7-10. The meeting, a collaborative effort between UB and the University of Rochester, will be chaired by Drs. Rita Alevriadou (UB), Angela Glading (URMC), and Marc Halterman (UB). Vasculata is co-sponsored by the North American Vascular Biology Organization (NAVBO), and its goal is to provide foundational knowledge in vascular biology, as well as the latest discoveries and technologies, to the future generation of vascular biologists, bioengineers, and physician-scientists.

Topics covered include various areas of vascular biology, e.g., vascular endothelial cell and mural cell biology, inflammatory signaling and molecular mechanisms of vascular cell dysfunction in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and other organ-specific diseases, metabolic and hemodynamic regulation of vascular function, intercellular communication, angiogenesis, vascular remodeling, stem cell-driven vascular biology, bioengineered vascular grafts, vascular medicine, aneurysms and other blood vessel disorders.

Training and dissemination of new knowledge will occur through lectures, workshops, and poster sessions, as well as faculty, student and trainee networking. While lectures and workshops will be delivered by faculty, graduate students and trainees will participate via poster and selected oral presentations. The conference is reasonably priced to facilitate graduate student, undergraduate student, and trainee participation.

We look forward to seeing you at the Vasculata 2026!
