Articles on the front page and page 2 of the Buffalo News report on yesterday’s visit by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who stopped in Buffalo to announce that the first eight companies tied to UB have been picked to be part of the state’s Start-Up NY tax free zones for new businesses. The articles quote UB president Satish K. Tripathi, Marnie Lavigne, associate vice president for economic development, and Vijay Kumar, associate research professor of microbiology and dermatology, who is vice president of one of the companies. Local coverage of the governor’s announcement appeared in Business First, Time Warner Cable News, WKBW-TV, WIVB-TV and CHRE-FM and CHTZ-FM in Southern Ontario.
