Having tech problems? As of November 5, 2018, UBIT will have a pilot location on the third floor of Silverman Library, from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, where students can get help from the UB Tech Squad.
With a convenient new location and expanded hours, it’s easier than ever to ask for help with problems downloading software, connecting to Wi-Fi, removing viruses from your device and more.
Plus, you can still get tech help from the Help Center in the Lockwood Cybrary, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Students can use the walk-up location at the service desk in the 3rd floor Silverman Library to connect with UB Tech Squad outside their typical service hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. during fall and spring semesters, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter session.
If you are a UB student, then you know the Tech Squad as a mobile support team you can book online to meet you anywhere on campus to solve your tech problems.
Use the new walk-up location in Silverman to get help right away, or book an appointment for a member of the Tech Squad team to meet you whenever and wherever you choose elsewhere on campus.
The UB Tech Squad is expected to offer service in Silverman on a trial basis through Spring 2019.
The new walk-up Help Center location in Silverman Library is another way that students as well as faculty and staff can get help with technology problems.
You can also call or submit a request online—visit the UBIT Help Center online for a full list of ways to get help. Students can book an appointment online with the Tech Squad for free service at any convenient location on campus.
