You may have noticed that the Duo Mobile app has a new look. The latest update, available for iOS 13/Android 8 and later, offers an improved authentication experience and expands current language and accessibility support.
Despite these changes, the core Duo functionality that UB students, faculty and staff rely on is still available.
According to the Duo website, “Version 4.0.0 of Duo Mobile was designed to enhance the login experience while improving... awareness of the purpose and value of two-factor authentication.”

If you are installing Duo to a new mobile device, download the app through your device's app store. You must enable notifications from the Duo app in order to receive Push logins. The app will also ask permission to use your camera if you are registering an account using a QR code.
Visit the UBIT website to learn how to enroll in Duo and about devices you can use with Duo at UB. If you can't access your Duo devices, follow these steps to recover your account.
