Some UB faculty and staff may occasionally need elevated access on UB-managed devices to perform approved tasks, such as installing or updating software. In approved exception cases, university IT staff may offer Admin By Request (ABR) to provide temporary administrative access without granting permanent administrator or other elevated rights.
