The Gerald L. Logue Memorial Fund recognizes outstanding students in the field of hematology/oncology or internal medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The award is intended to offset research costs along with travel and related expenses.
Gerald L. Logue, MD, passed away July 7, 2014. A UB professor since 1982, he was renowned for his commitment to medical training and was honored in 2013 with the Service Award to recognize 30 years of outstanding contribution to education in medicine and hematology. He served as chief of medicine, chief of staff at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, chief of the Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine and was vice chair of medicine. He was a clinician with UBMD Internal Medicine.
