Early Assurance Program
The Jacobs School recognizes the importance of inclusion and diversity in achieving excellence in the training of competent physicians. The Early Opportunity Program in Medicine program serves to identify and recruit qualified applicants at an early stage in their undergraduate development. Similar to our AMSNY Post-Baccalaureate program, the EOPIM is designed to expand the pool of underrepresented, economically and educationally disadvantaged students in medical school.
You will have opportunities for professional interaction and career training during your undergraduate years, preparing you for a successful medical school experience.

Eligibility
- Sophomore undergraduate in one of our partner schools
- 3.5 or higher GPA
Research, Mentoring and Support
We will provide the support you need to succeed. You will:
- Participate in research with one of our research faculty
- Be paired with a current medical student as a peer mentor
- Gain valuable MCAT preparation advice and skills
How to Apply
Tell your pre-health advisor about interest in our program by October of your sophomore year. You will work with your pre-health advisor to prepare an application to our program.
