Professional Summary:

I AM A NEUROLOGIST and CLINICAL RESEARCHER with significant expertise in stroke prevention and treatment from both individual patient and public health perspectives. My extensive clinical experience spans the U.S. and Nepal, including roles in trauma centers, comprehensive stroke centers, emergency rooms, acute care/ICU, and inpatient and outpatient settings. This diverse background makes me well-suited for positions in hospital administration, stroke centers, health operations and management, health system management, and public health consultancy.

MY CURRENT RESEARCH focuses on areas with high volumes of stroke patients, examining stroke outcomes and risk factors. I am actively involved in original research projects related to biomarkers in stroke and functional MRI in stroke, and I collaborate on multi-centric research trials both in the U.S. and globally. My past research has been published in peer-reviewed pediatric, neurology, and general medical journals. I SERVE AS A CLINICAL STROKE RESEARCH DIRECTOR for the Department of Neurology at the Jacobs School of Medicine.

I SUPERVISE AND INSTRUCT medical students, residents, and vascular neurology fellows, and I have received multiple commendations for my excellent teaching. As a former Neurology Clerkship Director at the University at Buffalo, I designed and led an AWARD-WINNING NEUROLOGY SIMULATION PROGRAM. I am also committed to GLOBAL NEUROLOGY, providing volunteer service in Nepal for neurology education and stroke center development.

MY BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT knowledge encompasses finance, accounting, business leadership, healthcare strategy, and data modeling. I am the STROKE DIRECTOR for the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute. My focus is process improvement for an optimal stroke system of care.

BOARD-CERTIFIED IN NEUROLOGY, VASCULAR NEUROLOGY, AND BRAIN INJURY MEDICINE.
