My clinical experiences cover various aspects of medical physics practices in radiation oncology, including conventional treatment modalities in both external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy, advanced techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, respiratory gating motion management and image-guided radiotherapy, and special radiation treatment procedures such as ART (online adaptive radiotherapy), SBRT, SRS, IORT, TBI and TSEI. I chaired the Patient Safety Committee in the Department of Radiation Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for over 5 years in the past, and I was appointed as Director of External Beam Quality Assurance Program in the medical physics division of the department in 2023. My credentials and honors also include Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics and Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM).

I am faculty of the CAMPEP accredited Medical Physics Program at the University at Buffalo. I am passionate about using various educational tools to train professional medical physicists for the future. Over the years, I have taught didactic courses and supervised numerous master’s and PhD graduate students. One of the great joys of mentorship is seeing the successes of my students as they go on to match with residency programs and eventually becoming board certified medical physicists. Many of them also entered academic medical centers like Roswell Park and became educators themselves.
