The Medical Education Research Certificate (MERC) program through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is a series of workshops intended to provide the knowledge necessary to understand the purpose and processes of education research, to become informed consumers of education research literature, and to be effective collaborators in health professions education research.
We are excited to share that the Medical Education and Educational Research Institute (MEERI) will be hosting this program beginning Feb. 20, 2026. The program is open to all who are interested in developing their educational research skills and will be held on Zoom. Please note that per AAMC, registration is limited to 25 participants per workshop session. Participants completing all six (6) workshop sessions are eligible for the Medical Education Research Certificate from the AAMC.
All sessions are on Fridays from 8–11 a.m.
