I work in the field of age-friendly health care and recently earned the Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care (CPAFH) certification through the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS). My research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to health system reform, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and meaningful stakeholder engagement. I use mixed-methods and implementation science approaches, and much of my work focuses on improving medication safety for older adults.
I collaborated with community partners to co-develop a medication safety curriculum for older adults, which is being piloted in regional senior centers and primary care practices. As Principal Investigator on a federally supported Aging Initiative project, I’ve worked to better understand system-level barriers to deprescribing for older adults with complex chronic conditions. During my time as a Junior Investigator Intensive Scholar with the US Deprescribing Research Network (2021–2022), I focused on supporting efforts that help older adults and caregivers participate more actively in decisions about their care.
I’m currently part of Team Alice, an interdisciplinary group dedicated to producing research that can be translated into practical improvements in health care. My ongoing projects reflect my interest in medication safety, AI in healthcare, social determinants of health, collaborative care models, and approaches that help health systems respond more effectively to the needs of older adults.
