Clinical Assistant Professor Hs
I am a neurologist who is specialized in epilepsy and neurophysiology. I am board certified in both neurology and epilepsy.
I take care of patients admitted to the epilepsy adult monitoring unit at Buffalo's Women and Children’s Hospital. I work with a multidisciplinary team including neuropsychiatrists, neuropsychologists, dietitians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and EEG technologists who specialize in epilepsy to provide the best level of care for patients with epilepsy. I also provide care variety of patients with different neurological disorders admitted to Buffalo General Hospital.
In addition to my skills in interpreting electroencephalography “EEG” and clinically assess patients with complex seizure semiology including those requiring epilepsy surgery, I am also a part of the intraoperative monitoring team where I work with my colleagues from the neurosurgery department.
I believe that a good physician is also a good teacher who teaches the new generation of medical students, residents, and fellows about the clinical implication of basic science. My background in teaching epileptologists from around the world during the annual epilepsy course, enriched my teaching skills to pave their academic road to provide the highest care for patients with neurological conditions.
I am involved in clinical research and my research interest includes but is not limited to seizure semiology, women and epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, epilepsy in critical care settings, and vascular epileptic lesions.
