Professional Summary:

As a pediatric ophthalmologist, I provide comprehensive care for childhood eye problems. This includes diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia, strabismus, congenital and developmental eye problems and eye problems related to pediatric systemic disease. I collaborate with primary care and specialist across the range of pediatric care, as well as, a highly dedicated and knowledgable team of orthoptist, optometrists, and ophthalmic assistants. My goal is to provide a thorough and informative experience, as comfortably as possible.

Management of Adult Strabismus also falls to the care of the pediatric ophthalmologist. I have a particular interest in complex strabismus, including reoperation, thyroid related ocular misalignment, and paralytic strabismus.

I am also an educator and value my work with medical students and residents in the clinic and operating room. I teach trainees to care for patients, both by being astute diagnosticians and interventionalists, but also by taking stock of the needs of patients and their families.

My research is clinical in focus, with interest in retinopathy of prematurity, quality of care. I also research best practices in medical education.
