Associate Dean for Curricular Innovation
Lisa Jane Jacobsen, MD, MPH, MSHPEd, is an associate dean for curricular innovation in the Office of Medical Curriculum.
In her role as associate dean, she is involved in shaping the medical curriculum: revising course content, assisting course directors and faculty, and overseeing the development of a new medical curriculum. She is committed to shaping the medical curriculum so students receive the most up-to-date medical knowledge in an environment where effective teaching techniques are applied.
Jacobsen is an associate professor and vice chair for education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Jacobsen received her medical degree, masters in public health and completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency and pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship at the Tufts University School of Medicine. She holds a master’s degree in health professions education from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions.
