Dr. Antonius is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and New York University School of Medicine. Additionally, he is a forensic psychologist with the Erie County Forensic Mental Health Services. Dr. Antonius’ research focuses on neurobiological, behavioral, and societal factors that underlie emotions and aggression. He has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and books on aggression, violence, emotions, mental illness, psychological assessment, forensic issues, psychometrics, and terrorism. He is the Co-Editor of the peer-refereed journal "Behavioral Sciences of Terrorism and Political Aggression." Dr. Antonius is the recipient of several awards, including from the Association for Threat Assessment Professionals, the International Society for Research on Aggression, and the American Psychological Foundation.
