Department of Medicine

Clinical Associate Professor

Specialty/Research Focus

Nephrology

Professional Summary:

I am a member of UBMD Nephrology, a subspecialty group of physicians that concentrates on kidney diseases, hypertension and related medical conditions. I see patients at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC), in both outpatient and hospital settings.

I care for patients in various stages of chronic kidney diseases (CKD) in our outpatient clinic. I also care for patients with kidney failure, including those being treated with renal replacement therapies such as outpatient hemodialysis, home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. In addition, I care for patients after they have had a kidney transplant, monitoring their health and immunosuppression. I also care for patients who have been hospitalized with kidney disease. My main goal is to minimize and/or prevent the progression of chronic kidney disease to a state of kidney failure.

I work with, and supervise medical students, medical residents in internal medicine and nephrology fellows during their hospital rotations.
