Professional Summary:

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist whose clinical work is primarily outpatient at ECMC. I also practice in an integrated care model within an OB/GYN clinic, where I collaborate closely with psychology to provide mental health care. I treat adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and personality disorders. My particular areas of interest include perinatal psychiatry, emerging adulthood, LGBTQ+ mental health, and psychopharmacology.

My approach combines thoughtful medication management with psychodynamic and strengths-based perspectives. I seek to understand each patient within the context of their history, relationships, identity, values, and goals. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I work with patients not only to reduce symptoms, but also to strengthen resilience, enhance well-being, and build more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Teaching and mentorship are also central to my professional work. During residency in Buffalo, I served as Outpatient Chief Resident and completed the program’s Medical Educator Track. I now teach and mentor medical students and psychiatry residents while also serving as a Faculty Coach at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. I value helping trainees develop their clinical skills, professional identities, and individual areas of interest.
