Professional Summary:

Dr. Haak is a faculty member in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Division of Community Psychiatry. She supervises medical students, residents and fellows in child/adolescent psychiatry evaluation and treatment. She also provides medical leadership and clinical service for several outpatient programs including a specialized OCD treatment clinic and Intensive outpatient program. Dr. Haak has also been the co-founder of a grant funded in home psychiatric treatment program for the past 4 years providing in home psychiatric services to those in need. Her interest in schools has taken a new shape after being part of a day treatment program she is interested in public health and has begun school consultative services which are newer in the Buffalo area and surrounding regions. Her scholarly interests are in the realm of psychotherapeutic intervention and in factors affecting early career development in child psychiatry, along with service implementation and bringing mental health services to the underserved.
