Professional Summary:

Dr. Wagner received her MD and completed her pediatric training through the University at Buffalo, and has remained in our community serving as a Pediatric Hospitalist since 2008. She has mentored over two dozen pediatric residents and medical students in various Quality Improvement and other research projects, culminating in local and national presentations. Dr. Wagner has been actively involved in the Pediatric Interest Group at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, serving formally as their Faculty Advisor since 2018. As much as Dr. Wagner enjoys teaching and mentorship, her favorite aspect of her job is taking care of children at the bedside. She was named a “Top Doctor” by Buffalo Spree magazine, as voted by her peers, annually from 2019-2022. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2024 in recognition of exemplary service, integrity, clinical excellence, and compassion.

Dr. Wagner has been Medical Director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Service at Oishei Children's Hospital since 2020. She carved out Pediatric Hospital Medicine as a new division within UBMD Pediatrics in 2023 and became Chief of this division. Dr. Wagner served as the Medical Director of the 20-bed Pediatric Long-Term Care Unit at Kaleida Health’s HighPointe on Michigan from 2017-2022.
