Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Clinical Assistant Professor
Maternal - Fetal Medicine; Obstetrics and Gynecology
My research interest is in the area of obesity in pregnancy, fetal programming, racial/ethnic disparity in women’s health, and hepatitis B in pregnancy. After completing my fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and obtaining a Master’s in Clinical Research, I have been given the tools to conduct both basic science research and clinical research. In fellowship, I successfully recruited 84 patients and collected samples from these patients to examine obesity in pregnancy. I have successfully completed immunohistochemistry quantitation and RNA extraction/quantitation. I am also experienced in public health research, working with the local Department of Health on examining health outcomes in ethnic diverse populations.
