Professional Summary:

My emergency medicine experience spans 45 years. My career emphasis is based on supporting undergraduate and graduate medical education and providing the best emergency care to my patients. I believe that the opportunities I had to work in community hospitals, academic centers and in management across the US give me a unique perspective. My clinical foundation rests on experience in high volume full service emergency departments and management of complex emergencies and multiple casualty incidents.

I continue to be interested in the management of catastrophic events because of previous national and international deployments in support of combat operations and humanitarian service. Providing emergency medical care under austere conditions has been particularly gratifying. Service in the Pentagon, local and state emergency planning, and military medical planning are the foundation for my administrative career.

Community service is important to me and offers a perspective in the clinical environment that enhances the educational experience for students and residents. I work with the Niagara Frontier Search and Rescue Team and the Kissing Bridge Ski Patrol to lend support to our community.
