Professional Summary:

I am trained as a PharmD, pharmacy practice researcher, and PhD health services researcher with an integrated focus on patient-centered outcomes, implementation science, and pharmacoepidemiology. Our interdisciplinary research emphasizes Team Science and collaborative research strategies. Our research has focused on expanding the role of pharmacists in the delivery of care services including health-related social needs and care transition programs. A key component has also been the practical use of electronic health records and administrative databases to evaluate medication use, adverse effects and utilization. Our work is funded through federal (NIH, CMS, CDC), private foundation, and industry sources.

Our current research has three main areas of focus:

1) Applying implementation science towards integrating pharmacy care services that improve patient safety and care quality,

2) Economic and outcomes analyses supporting pharmacy services and programs,

3) Use of large data sets and comparative effectiveness research to evaluate and predict outcomes of acute and chronic medications.

We welcome working with and mentoring students and postdocs in our lab.

Member of Team Alice, an interprofessional initiative to protect older adults from medication related harm.
