Zhen Yan, PhD, professor of physiology and biophysics, has been named to the editorial board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry and appointed to serve as a regular member of National Institute of Health’s study section on Neurotransporters, Receptors, and Calcium Signaling.
Over the last decade, Yan has received more than $9 million in
research funding. This support includes a new 4-year, $1,268,000
R01 grant she has been awarded to study the synaptic changes caused
by stress; and a new 2-year, $435,875 R21 grant to study the
mechanisms of Huntington’s disease.
