Clough and Hutchinson Receive Travel Awards

Shannon Clough, a PhD candidate in the Neuroscience Program, and Anthony Hutchinson, PhD, a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, received travel awards to attend the 2011 meeting of Behavior, Biology and Chemistry: Translational Research in Addiction.

Both work in the laboratory of Margarita Dubocovich, PhD, chair of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

 

Outstanding Research Poster Presentation

At the meeting, Clough received a cash award for the Outstanding Research Poster Presentation among graduate students. Her poster was titled “Exogenous melatonin modulates methamphetamine-induced sensitization and reward in C3H/HeN mice.”

The meeting, held March 5 and 6 in San Antonio, Texas, was sponsored by the Center for Addiction Research at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
