Canty, Cappuccino Selected for Presidential Search Committee

Two faculty members in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences have been appointed to the committee that will conduct the national search to identify the University at Buffalo’s next president.

John M. Canty Jr., MD, Alfred and Elizabeth Rekate Chair in Cardiovascular Disease, and Helen Cappuccino, MD ’88, clinical assistant professor of surgery, are among 16 committee members leading the search to replace UB President John B. Simpson, who will retire Jan. 15.

The committee is headed by Jeremy M. Jacobs, chair of UB Council.
