Zhen Yan Recognized for Research Accomplishments

Zhen Yan, PhD, professor of physiology and biophysics, has been named to the editorial board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry and appointed to serve as a regular member of National Institute of Health’s study section on Neurotransporters, Receptors, and Calcium Signaling.

Over the last decade, Yan has received more than $9 million in research funding. This support includes a new 4-year, $1,268,000 R01 grant she has been awarded to study the synaptic changes caused by stress; and a new 2-year, $435,875 R21 grant to study the mechanisms of Huntington’s disease.
