G. Richard Braen, MD, associate dean for graduate medical education, has received the 2016 National Leadership Award from the New York State chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Recognized for Outstanding Service and Dedication
Braen, professor and former chair of emergency medicine, received the award for “outstanding service and dedication to advancing emergency care in New York State.”
He is a past president of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is an attending physician at Buffalo General Medical Center and Erie County Medical Center. Braen has authored, co-authored and edited numerous emergency medicine textbooks.
The award was presented at the chapter’s annual meeting July 7 at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, NY.
