The Functional Anatomy and Vertebrate Evolution (FAVE) Laboratory at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo, will host an open house to celebrate National Biomechanics Day (flyer attached; http://nationalbiomechanicsday.asbweb.org/). Graduate and undergraduate researchers will be on hand to demonstrate some of the cutting edge research that is being carried out in the laboratory. We are inviting Buffalo area science classes to reserve slots during our open house for guided tours of the science of biomechanics. The event will also be open to PAS faculty, staff, and students. The open house will take place in Rooms 2213A/B from 10 am to 5 pm. We are expecting middle school and high school students throughout the day, but please feel free to come visit us any time during the day, and see what we do!
