Allison Brashear, MD, MBA, vice president for health sciences at the University at Buffalo and dean of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, will deliver the 2026 State of the Jacobs School Address on Oct. 7, 2026.
This annual event provides an opportunity to reflect on the Jacobs School’s progress, celebrate the accomplishments of our faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners, and share a vision for the year ahead. Dr. Brashear will highlight key achievements across education, research, clinical care and community engagement, while outlining strategic priorities that will continue to advance the school’s mission and impact.
The State of the Jacobs School Address brings together members of the Jacobs School community and supporters from across the region to gain insight into the school's momentum, challenges and opportunities as we work together to improve health and transform lives.
