Charles Webster, MD.

Neurology resident Charles Webster, MD, appreciates the fact that attendings frequently go out of their way to maintain relationships with the residents they are mentoring and teaching.

What were the main factors that attracted you to UB’s neurology residency training program?

The choice to rank UB’s neurology program was easy for me. I was attracted to the large hospital system with the appropriate infrastructure to support it as an innovating leader in neuroscience.

Within the hospital, UB is uniquely positioned to train excellent neurologists with high case volume, cutting-edge diagnostic capabilities, and a consult-driven service which maximizes learning opportunities while minimizing clerical obligations.

The city itself has beautiful four seasons with plenty to do with time off service!

What is the training atmosphere like for Jacobs School neurology residents?

Within the program, we have a strong camaraderie with frequent wellness events to foster strong friendships. I am thankful to call many of my co-residents my closest friends!

The vast majority of attendings find teaching and mentoring to be a personal endeavor, and they frequently go out of their way to maintain relationships with the residents.
