The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences' DoctHERS is a network of female physicians, scientists, faculty, health care professionals, residents and students who address current issues in the medical and scientific fields in order to foster advancement, mentorship and equal opportunities for future generations of women in medicine and science.

Rose Kuwik, MD '08.

Dr. Lauren Kuwik received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Fordham University in 2004, where she was part of the Fordham College Honors Program and graduated magna cum laude. She went on to study medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she graduated summa cum laude with research honors in 2008.

Dr Kuwik completed her residency training in Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Buffalo in January 2013. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr. Kuwik enjoys spending time with her husband Keith, and their three children. In her free time, she runs, does yoga and loves to read.  She teaches local UB medical students.  She also enjoys blogging and other forms of medical thought piece writing.
