I am a product of this residency, and proud to be a part of the faculty.
A graduate of this residency program will feel comfortable and confident in almost any situation, since our residents manage almost every type of emergency (except perhaps high altitude sickness!).
One of the strengths of this program is the opportunity to train in different hospitals with diverse patient populations - from the inner city hospitals to the trauma and pediatric centers, to community hospitals.
We have it all, and we train our residents to be well-rounded emergency physicians.
I have grown to love this city. I have lived within 2 hours of Buffalo my entire life, but since coming here for medical school I have grown in appreciation of what this region has to offer. I love music, and Buffalo doesn't disappoint!
The philharmonic is world-class, the chamber music and various choirs are superb, and the HSBC arena and Darien Lakes Performing Arts Center are always hosting some of the greatest musicians in the world.
For the sports enthusiast, we have the Bills, Sabres, Bandits, and Bisons to enjoy, and though there may be some "Buffalo curse" on those teams, it is still fun to be a part of a city that sticks behind their home-town teams.
This region is incredible for year-round outdoors activities, and on those days when it is nicer to stay inside, the museums and restaurants are fantastic.
