Continuing Medical Education

Most Department of Nuclear Medicine events are held at 105 Parker Hall on the South Campus of the University at Buffalo. Nuclear Medicine Grand Rounds meet once a month on a Wednesday during the academic year.

Nuclear Medicine Study Group meets once a month on a Wednesday during the academic year.

Accreditation

The University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education. AMA/PRA

Designation

State University of New York at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, through the Department of Nuclear Medicine, designates Nuclear Medicine Grand Rounds for up to 1.5 hours of Category 1 credit towards the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.

Verification of Involvement in Continuing Education (VOICE).

The Technologist Section of the Society of Nuclear Medicine designates Nuclear Medicine Grand Rounds for continuing education hours (CEH) up to 2 hours. Members participating in the computerized recordkeeping system may receive CEH credit by completing the credit reporting forms at the end of each session.

Educational Objectives

To increase the knowledge of practicing nuclear physicians, technologists, and referring physicians as it relates to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
