The Department of Pediatrics comprises 18 divisions; all actively engaged in research and dedicated to excellence in patient care and teaching.
Much of the research conducted by our faculty has received national acclaim. The divisions function in unison as a department under the guidance and tutelage of the department chair.
The Department of Pediatrics is striving to create and maintain a diverse environment among our faculty and staff that mirrors our diverse patient population. We are committed to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in our research, clinical and educational missions to meet the needs of our faculty, staff, students, and the communities we serve. We welcome differences in race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender and age within our department as well as within our patients and their families. We are fostering a culturally competent, inclusive and respectful environment for all, as we believe diversity within our department encourages broader perspectives and combats negative stereotyping. This optimizes our ability to provide the best possible healthcare to all.
